About the gallery
The Highsmith University Union Gallery serves as a resource for students, faculty, and the community through its exhibitions of work by invited artists (local, national, and international), annual on-campus group shows, and Senior Shows by students in the Art Department. We strive to be an art space on campus that is welcoming and accessible to all. The mission of the Highsmith Union Gallery is to connect Gallery exhibits to current UNC Asheville curriculum as well as campus trends, interests, current events and issues in Asheville and beyond, and to broader movements in the art world.
All campus departments and individuals are invited to hold gatherings, meetings, or classes in the gallery while artwork is on display. If you would like to learn more or reserve the space, please contact Tracie Pouliot: tpouliot@unca.edu
