To further complement the mission of life long learning, the University hosts local, state and regional conferences and symposiums where professionals and educators gather to exchange knowledge, gain new skills, and strengthen professional relationships.

Breadloaf School of EnglishBread Loaf School of English

UNC Asheville is one of the five campuses for the Middlebury College Bread Loaf School of English. Students enroll to pursue a Master of Arts Degree. This residential program runs for six weeks each summer, with students completing the M.A. over the course of five summers.

The Institute assists faculty members to improve teaching and learning in a manner that reflects the values of a high quality liberal arts education.

 

 

 

Asheville Chamber Music InstituteAsheville Chamber Music Experience

Asheville Chamber Music Experience at UNCA gives adult amateur musicians the chance to refresh and enhance ensemble skills while being immersed in chamber music in a beautiful mountain setting – Asheville, the cultural and culinary center of Western North Carolina.

 

 

 

NC Biotech CenterSummer Biotechnology Workshops for Educators

Summer workshops offer teachers the training they need in the many differing areas of biotechnology, featuring hands-on activities that engage students and improve learning. The NC Biotechnology center has trained over 1,700 individual educators during summer workshop ssince the inception of the Summer Workshop program in 1987.
