Some call it New Classical, others say it’s World Fusion. Labels aside, “intercultural music is about breaking down barriers,” says Moshe Denburg, collaborator with Orchid Ensemble. This group innovates a cultural exchange between Western and Asian musicians with ancient instruments and traditional Chinese, Jewish, Persian and Indian rhythms.
